It is ancient tradition to take a rooster for a male and a hen for a female and to ‘shlog kaparos’ on the eve of Yom Kippur. We request of G-d that the chicken should be an expiation for our sins and that we should be inscribed for a good and sweet year.

For the past 18 years we have brought chickens to Chabad a few days before Yom Kippur. If you would like to partake in this most meaningful and important custom, indicate your order below. It is preferable to order for each member of the family individually; alternately you may order one rooster for the males of the household and one hen for the females. The cost per chicken is $15.00

LULAV & ETROG ORDERS | ORDER DUE BY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH
It is a mitzvah from the Torah to take during the days of Sukos (not on Shabbos) the 4 species (Lulav, Esrog, Hadasim and Aravos), bind them together and recite a blessing. This beatuful Mitzvah symbolizes, among othe things, the unity of the Jewish people.

We have very nice Lulav and Esrog sets available for $60 per set. If you would like to order, please indicate the quantity needed below.
